One year after more than 100 business leaders made the Shared Promise in Rome, the Unlock Futures alliance launched its Action Paper: a practical guide to make child protection a non-negotiable standard.

From promise to action

What was launched

The Action Paper draws on case studies from businesses already acting across hotels, airlines, gaming, venues and tour operators, turning the commitment made in Rome into clear steps from the boardroom to front-line teams and suppliers.

Businesses cannot do this alone.

Stronger laws, effective enforcement and cross-border cooperation are essential, so the alliance calls for closer work between the private sector, governments, law enforcement and civil society.

    Give a senior leader the mandate and authority to drive child protection across the business.

  2. Step 2 · Act

    Put the safeguards in place

    Understand where children may be vulnerable, then put the right policies, procedures, training and reporting channels in place.

    Extend protection beyond your walls

    Learn with peers, work with expert partners and bring operators, contractors and supply chains with you.
