A global campaign

The 7 Contemporary Wonders of the World

A year-long global search for the landmarks built since 1801 that have enhanced Travel & Tourism, communities and economic development, showing world-class tourism assets as strategic infrastructure that attracts investment and creates jobs.

The age of wonder never ended. We just stopped looking.

Three examples from three centuries

These are not the seven: the final list is chosen by the world through nominations and a public vote, and revealed in July 2027.

  • The Eiffel Tower in Paris, with the Seine in the foreground

What makes a Contemporary Wonder?

  • Made by human hands: landmarks, buildings, institutions, resorts.
  • Born of the modern era: built from 1801 to today.
  • A force for its place: it draws the world, responsibly, and creates opportunity where it stands.
  • Open to discovery: the celebrated and the not-yet-celebrated alike.
